AI research agents + company brain
AI agents removed 95% of a recurring research workload.
A B2B marketplace connecting enterprise buyers with distributed real-world opportunities needed to find more of the right opportunities. Its team was searching market by market, visiting websites, and copying data into spreadsheets.
The bottleneck
Opportunity sourcing depended on manual research. Adding more markets meant more searching, more data entry, and more people keeping the pipeline supplied. The company already had its core operational data in a warehouse; it needed to turn that foundation into working AI.
What we built
An embedded AI specialist built research agents, an opportunity aggregator, and a shared Company Brain on the existing data foundation.
- Research agents scanned public account information and scored opportunities against the company's actual successes.
- The opportunity aggregator used an LLM to turn unstructured listings into records, deduplicated them, and stored them in the master database.
- The Company Brain connected SOPs, metrics, playbooks, skills, and agent configurations so employees could query shared knowledge and build agents.
What changed
A recurring manual research workflow dropped from 20 hours a week to about one. Targets sourced by the research agents converted into closed deals without a human researcher in the loop.
The wider engagement produced 700 landing pages through an in-house SEO tool. Every employee built and shipped a first agent during a company-wide training, while engineering adopted agent-based coding. AI became a capability the team could keep applying across the business.
